Candidates for the President Elect must be members of the Scottish Society of Gastroenterology and members of the British Society of Gastroenterology.  Candidates must be deemed to be of good character and have a good working knowledge of the Society and its Constitution.

The President Elect will serve for one year and will then take on the office of President.

For the election of the President Elect nominations will be submitted to the Secretary and will consist of the agreement of the nominee, and the names of a proposer and seconder drawn from the Society.  The election will be governed by the Society’s voting rules.

Candidates for the post of Trainee Representative are also required.  This post will serve on Council to represent the interests and views of GI trainees within the Society.

Nominations for this post should also be to the Secretary and contain the names of a proposer and seconder from the Society.

All nominations should be made by email to Ms Kate Curry (ssg.admin@rcpe.ac.uk) by 5pm on Wednesday 1st of July 2015.
