All of us have difficult cases that stick with us. Sometimes knowing what we theoretically ‘can’ do and what we ‘should’ do for an individual patient is morally and ethically challenging. During this event we share two cases and invite comment from leading experts in the fields of ethics, psychiatry and medico-legal practice to discuss principles that can help guide decision making. Equipping you with tools to guide better decision making for your patients.

Our excellent speakers include: Dr Roger Smyth (NHS Lothian), Dr John Holden (MDDUS), Sarah Smith (University of Cumbria) and Dr Antonia Karus-McElvogue (Kings College London).
